아르보 패르트의 신비로운 세계
올해 9월 11일은 아르보 패르트의 85번째 생일이었으며 이 음반의 출시는 그런 의미에서 의미가 깊다. 이미 ECM에서는 아르보 패르트의 선구적이고 신비로운 작품들의 독보적인 초연 목록을 지니고 있지만 사실상 너무 오랜시간이 흘렀다. 이번 음반은 패르트 해석의 다양성의 차원에서도 또 연주의 수준에서도 매우 의미가 깊은 음반이다. 수록된 대표 작품인 Lamatate는 패르트가 영감을 받은 아니쉬 카푸르의 조각 를 2002년 10월 런던의 ‘테이트 모던’에서 처음으로 대면하고 작곡한 작품으로 애가를 뜻하는 Lament에 테이트 모던의 tate를 합성한 작품이다. 안드레이 보레이코와 알렉세이 루비모프의 독보적인 음반이 있지만 신비롭고 에스닉한 분위기 면에서 이번 신보는 특유의 매력을 십분 어필한다.
